Obituary
LINCOLNTON, GA. - Ms. Abigail Burgess, 75 of Bethany Church Road entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 2, 2020 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Burgess Family Cemetery with Rev. Donald Walton officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Burgess, John Burgess, Jared Wright, Melvin Burgess, Jeremy Burgess and Chris Burgess.
Ms. Burgess was the daughter of the late Leslie Sanders Burgess and the late Lillie Kathleen Martin Burgess. She retired from Riegel Manufacturing as a seamstress inspector and attended Goshen Baptist Church and Bethany United Methodist Church.
Survivors include six nephews, Melvin Burgess, Ricky Ashmore, Phil Ashmore, Bobby Burgess, John Burgess and David Burgess; five nieces, Betty Burgess Beard, Tina Ashmore McCombs, Michelle Burgess, Tammy Burgess Wright and Lisa Burgess Safrit; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Clement and Shirley Burgess; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Ms. Burgess was also preceded in death by four brothers, Marvin Burgess, Jimmy Burgess, Robert Burgess and Edwin Burgess; and three sisters, Ernestine Burgess, Mary Katherine and Rosa Lee Burgess Ashmore.
