MARTIEZ, GA - Mr. Alan Farid West, 66, of Martinez, Ga entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

The graveside service with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Lincolnton City Cemetery with Pastor Bart Grey officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Tuesday at Rees Funeral Home.

Alan was born to Clifford Alvin and Salima Batershin West in Heidelberg, Germany on January 18, 1957. Alan served his country with honor in the US Army where his "esprit de corps" earned the respect of his peers and superiors alike. Throughout the years Alan enjoyed working on and restoring cars. An avid fisherman, he spent a lot of time with his children and grandchildren fishing.

Alan is survived by his partner Frances, his brother Ralph, and his sister, Linda. Alan is also survived by his children, Jonathan West, Dana Reese, and Jordan West, as well as his grandchildren Landen Reese, Adilynn, Oakley, Ansley, Jeremiah, Jaiden, and Jonathan Jr West.
