LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Albert Truett Smalley, 75, of 3071 Leathersville Rd. entered into rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Reviere, Rev. Allen Danner and Rev. Tom Smalley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will Pete Grimaud, Truitt Dill, Dudley Bryant, Jeff Carroll, David Young and Melvin Burgess. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Salem Baptist Church. Mr. Smalley was the son of the late Benjamin Eugene Smalley and Lois Cliatt Smalley. He was a retired textile worker and a member of Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dollie Ellenberg Smalley; one son, Kenneth Smalley and wife, Faye of Lincolnton; two daughters, Jan Whitener and husband, Kerry and Judy Webb, both of Lincolnton; sister, Martha Jean Grimaud and husband, George of Tignall; eight grandchildren, Carla Young, Charles Dornberg, Mandy Rogers, David Whitener, Ken Smalley, Pam Smalley, Andy Smalley and Judie Whitener; 17 great grandchildren and a devoted caregiver, Frankie Andrews of Washington, GA. Mr. Smalley was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Smalley and a sister, Miriam Smalley.
