LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Alexander Mitchell "Lex" McGee, 47, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his residence on Clay Hill Rd.

Mr. McGee was born November 17, 1969 and the son of George Alexander "Alex" McGee, Jr. and the late Mickie Flint McGee. He had received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Augusta State University. Mr. McGee later taught Chemistry, Biology, Physics and was an assistant football coach at Briarwood  Academy. Lex was an avid Lincoln County Red Devil supporter and like his Daddy Mitchell he loved the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He was a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, George Alexander McGee Jr., Lex is survived by one brother, Joshua George McGee and wife, Amy of Flowery Branch, GA.; two nieces, Kate Ansley McGee and Abby Rose McGee and numerous other family members.

The graveside service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Greenwood Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Tripp Goodwin officiating.
