ATLANTA, GA - Mrs. Allee Bufford Florence entered into rest on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Brighton Gardens of Buckhead.

A service will be held at the Rees Funeral Home in Lincolnton, Ga. on Friday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Walton officiating. She will be interred at the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery in Washington, Georgia beside her beloved husband Sanders. Allee Lizzie Bufford Florence was a caring and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and member of The Clairmont Presbyterian Church. She peacefully left this world on May 10, 2021at the age of 95 in Brookhaven, Georgia. Allee was born to William Peyton Bufford and Mary Jane Flint Bufford on November 13, 1925 in Lincolnton, Georgia. She was especially proud of her older Brother Buddy.

After high school she found work during the War Years in Brunswick, Ga. where she made many friends and admirers. Later she married Walter Sanders Florence of Lincolnton, Georgia. They were happily married for many, many years, and had 1 daughter, Sandra Jane, who, with her grand-dogs Peyton and Lucy, survive Allee.

Allee loved cooking, crocheting, sewing, and participating in Clairmont Pres. and Atlanta Lions Club activities and events. She was a great story teller who was a priceless window into life in the Depression and War Era Rural South. She was very active, working nonstop her entire life starting as a young girl picking cotton on the Family Farm lasting through her late 80s and final job at the Brookhaven Kroger where for over 17 years she greeted, cut cakes, and served deli items to her innumerable customers whom she cherished.
