LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Anne Drinkard Remsen, 83 of 143 White Rock Rd. entered into rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Doctor's Hospital. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Goshen Baptist Church with Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Reed Denton, Mark Guillebeau, Watson Guillebeau, Hawes Reed, Jack Smalley and Dr. Robert J. Williams. Mrs. Remsen was the daughter of the late Gracie Scott and Hawes Marcy Drinkard. She was a life long member of Goshen Baptist Church. She was retired from Rees Funeral Home where she worked along side her life long friend, Leslie Rees Burton. Survivors include two sons, Walter Marcy Remsen and wife Gail and Murray Leslie Remsen; a sister, Beth Drinkard Reed and husband Olin; five grandchildren, Leah Guillebeau Cassell and husband Steve, Bobbie Guillebeau Rhodes and husband Austin, George Drinkard Remsen, Anna Elsbeth Remsen and Sara Anne Dickerson and husband Matt; four great grandchildren, Kathryn Grace Remsen, Thomas Drinkard Remsen, Virginia Guillebeau Cassell and Robert Guillebeau Rhodes. Three nieces and two nephews. She is also survived by a special cousin, Peggy Cullars Guillebeau. Mrs. Remsen was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Murray Remsen; a brother, Frank Hawes Drinkard and friend Leslie Rees Burton.
