Obituary
LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Benjamin Theron Goldman, Jr., 74, entered into rest on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA.
Mr. Goldman was the son of the late Benjamin Theron Goldman, Sr. and the late Mary Jo Edmunds Goldman of Lincoln County, GA. He was a veteran and served his country with honor in the United States Army. Mr. Goldman retired from the Lincoln County Board of Education as a maintenance supervisor and a school bus driver and was later employed with J & T Service Center. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, an avid Lincoln County Red Devil football fan and played football for the Red Devils during his high school career.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia L. Goldman; one daughter, Lisa Goldman Marshall and husband, James of St. Johns, FL.; one stepson, John Wayne Owen of Grovetown, GA.; one stepdaughter, Stefanie Owen Wootten and husband, Todd of Fairburn, GA.; two sisters, Nellie McGee and husband, Jim of Lincolnton and Helen Bridges and husband, Wade of Bowman, GA.; two brothers, John Goldman and wife, Julie of North Augusta, S.C. and Gerald Goldman and wife, Carol of Lincolnton, GA.; three grandchildren, Emily Marshall, Jake Marshall and Zachary Marshall; four step grandchildren, John Wayne Owen, II, Jerry Austin Wootten, Catherine Leigh Wootten and Scott Wootten. Mr. Goldman was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Janis Dawkins.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Virginia Best officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Carroll, Harold Dawkins, Michael Ferguson, John Ludwig, Leon Taylor and Joe Racy Wells.
The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Rees Funeral Home, P.O. Box 924, Lincolnton, GA. 30817.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
