McCORMICK, S.C. - Mr. Charles Cody "Chuck" Christie, 77, of 338 Crown Point, Savannah Lakes Village entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at University Hospital. There will be a Celebration of the Life of Chuck Christie at 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Lincolnton United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Bocean officiating. Mr. Christie was a native of Madison, Wisconsin and the son of the late Harold Raymond Christie and the late Evangeline Jeannett Peterson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and attained the rank of LTJG while stationed at Norfolk, Virginia for most of his military career. Mr. Christie was owner of Northern Fire Protection that designed sprinkler systems for fire protection. He was an avid photographer and was a member of the Navy Net Ham Radio Club, Masonic Lodge #117 and the Lincolnton United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marcia H. Christie: one son, Charles Cody "Chuck" Christie, Jr. and wife, Gabriela "Gaby" of Norfolk, VA.; one daughter, Linda Sue Christie of Johns Creek, GA.; three grandchildren, Charles "Cody" Christie III, William Peter Christie and Jordan Elisabeth Christie; one sister, Gail Frances Pray of Boca Raton, FL; one brother, John Paul Christie and wife, Joy of Ottawa, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.
