Valrico, FL -Mr. Charles Ward Elam, Jr., 67, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, Florida.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Lincolnton City Cemetery with Rev. Tripp Goodwin officiating.

Mr. Elam was born November 13, 1951 in Kearney, NE. He was the son of the late Charles Ward Elam, Sr. and Margaret Blackwell Elam of Lincolnton, GA. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and had been employed as an estimator for a construction business.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret B. Elam; two sisters, Brenda Elam Lovett and husband, Richard of Valrico, FL and Lily Elam Crook and her husband, Darrell of Lincolnton, GA; one niece, Denise Crook Speight and husband, Ashley of Hamlet, NC; three nephews, Brian Eugene Crook of Rockingham, NC, William Edgar Courtney, III of Charlotte, NC and Trent Ward Courtney and wife, Kristie of Walnut Creek, CA; two great nephews, Jared Storm Henry and wife, Kennedi of Winterville, NC and Mason Mathias Courtney of Walnut Creek, CA; one great niece, Emma Margaret Courtney of Walnut Creek, CA.
