LINCOLNTON, GA - Mr. Charles Ellis Scott, 84, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Cooper House Personal Care Home.
The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Martin's Crossroads Church Cemetery with Pastor Lanis Lewis and Pastor Terry Bonds officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Rees Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gage Scott, Zach Scott, Daniel Phillips, B.J. Vaughn, Jimmy Smith and John " Buck" Smith.
Mr. Scott was the son of the late William Dan Scott and Bertha Walker Scott of Lincoln County. He was a retired textile employee with Milliken and attended Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church before his health started declining.
Survivors include one son, Dwayne Scott and wife, Roni of Lincolnton; one daughter, Debbie Justice and husband, Jim of Appling, GA; one sister, Hilda Palmer of Lexington, GA; one brother, Billy Scott and wife, Dot of Rock Hill, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Minyard, Chance Scott, Zach Scott, Gage Scott, Daniel Phillips, Karis Vaughn and Ashley Scott; and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Scott was also preceded in death by a son, Kevin Scott; and a sister, Dot Smith.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Cooper House and at Regency Hospice for the excellent care that Mr. Scott received while he was under their care.

Rees Funeral Home, 195 N. Peachtree St., Lincolnton, GA 706-359-3222 will be taking care of the arrangements for the Scott family.
