LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Colleen Cox Dunaway entered into rest on Friday, November 14, 2014 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Lincolnton United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Hinson and Rev. Debra Griffin officiating. Following the service there will be private burial. Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Dallas, Melvin Anderson, Neal Reed, Marcy Remsen, Russ Spratlin and Keith Cunningham. Mrs. Dunaway was the daughter of the late Joe Clifford Cox and the late Wenona Stevenson Cox. She was very proud to be a Home Economics educator at Lincolnton High School for several years and worked from the home afterwards. Mrs. Dunaway was a faithful member of the Lincolnton United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Tutt Dunaway; granddaughter, Elizabeth Colleen Dunaway; daughter-in-law, Penny C. Dunaway all of Lincolnton; sister-in-law, Emily Dunaway Hester and husband, Pat of Mt. Carmel, S.C. Mrs. Dunaway was preceded in death by her husband, John Alex Dunaway.
