WASHINGTON, GA. - Mrs. Dorla Dean Adams, 85, entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her residence on Lexington Road.
The graveside service with military honors will be at
11 a.m.
Thursday, September 28, 2017
at Sardis Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Chris Townsend officiating.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Pierce Barden, Clyde Whittington, Melvin Crawford and Jerry Compton.
Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Harry Corbett and Ada Mae Chandler Corbett of Roulette, PA. Sergeant Dorla Adams served her country with honor as a medical technician in the United States Army. Mrs. Adams was

School for 30 years at First Baptist Church. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Dorla loved swinging and enjoying nature in her backyard.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Arnold Adams; two daughters, Deanie Busch and husband John, granddaughter Jessie of Charlottesville, VA. and Denise Blaschke of Arnoldsville, GA.; grandson Adam Blaschke of Atlanta, GA. and granddaughter Molly Blaschke of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; one brother, Dan Corbett and wife Beverly of Washington, GA.; and many other nieces and nephews.
