APPLING, GA - Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Calamas, 90, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Lake Crossing Health Center.
The Celebration of Life Service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Rees Funeral Home with Rev. Robert K. Taylor officiating.
Mrs. Calamas was the daughter of the late Luther Hunter Johnson and the late Susie Harrell Johnson of Louisville, GA. She had retired from the Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta.
Survivors include three daughters, Sheree Calamas Turner and husband, Floyd, Sandra C. Taylor and husband, Bob and Donna C. Hutton and husband, Greg; one brother, Earl Johnson and wife, Dawn; four grandchildren, Tony Turner, Tracee Fisher, Nicholas Taylor and Gregory Taylor; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Johnson. Mrs. Calamas was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pete Calamas and two brothers, Lamar Johnson and Marvin Johnson; and two sisters, Lillie Bruce and Cleo Naman.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Augusta, Attn: General Fund, 3500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA. 30909.
