LINCOLNTON, GA - Mr. Douglas Burton Aycock, 66 of Chamberlain Ferry Rd. entered into rest on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.

The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Lanis Lewis, Pastor Terry Bonds and Rev. Bart Grey officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gerald Lawson, Glenn Wright, Preston Parton, Craig Gammon, Aaron Parton, Jack Smalley and Lane Parton.

Mr. Aycock was born March 12, 1955 and the son of the late William Jackson Aycock and Dolly Grace Holcomb Aycock. Doug was employed as a shipping clerk at Berry Global in Washington, GA for many years and attended the First Assembly of God. He was an avid sports fan, following the Tennessee Vols and Lincoln County Red Devils.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Pam Parton; one son, Matthew Aycock and wife, Dawn of Lincolnton; one daughter, Christi Aycock of Lincolnton; eight grandchildren, Alaytra Davis and husband, David, Rhianna Aycock, Gracie Dill, Ella Hudson, Audrey Hudson, Lane, Ethan and Logan Parton; one great grandchild, Kaloni Davis three brothers, Leon Aycock and wife, Linda of Tignall, GA, Ronnie Aycock and wife, Mary of McCormick, SC and Danny Aycock of Lincolnton, GA; extended family members, Aaron Parton and wife, Melissa of Lincolnton and Preston Parton and wife, Kerri of Lincolnton; two beloved fur babies, Miss Kitty and Diamond; numerous other family members.
