LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Edward Arthur, Jr., 81 entered into rest on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home with Benton Belangia officiating. Interment will be in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Arthur, Colt Turner, Phil McGahee, Perry Davis, Bryon Arrowood and Rusty Spratlin.

Mr. Arthur was the son of the late William Edward Arthur, Sr. and the late Allie Crocker Arthur of Aiken, S.C. He was a member of Jones Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah S. Arthur; two sons, Jimmy Arthur and wife, Hilda of Lincolnton and Eddie Arthur and wife, Patty of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Tonya Harper and husband, John of Lincolnton, Samantha Turner and husband, Colt of Avera, GA. and Dylan Arthur and wife, Whitney of Evans, GA.; four great grandchildren, Scott Arthur and wife Holly, Niki Poss, Leigh Anna Poss and William Harper all of Lincolnton, GA.; two great grandchildren, Alionna Arthur and Alexandria Poss; four sisters, Dell Usry of Edgefield, S.C., Barbara Bryant and husband, Furman of Belvedere, S.C., Josephine Hartwell of Swansea, S.C., and Dorothy Herren and husband, Bill of Saluda, S.C. Mr. Arthur was also preceded in death by a brother, Lee Arthur and a sister, Lucille Mosley.
