WASHINGTON, GA - Mr. Edward Cawley, 70 entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA.

The Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Lanis Lewis and Rev. Terry Bonds officiating.

Mr. Cawley was the son of the late George Newton Cawley and the late Rosa Mae Wells Cawley of Lincolnton, GA. He was a graduate of Lincoln County High School and retired mechanic with Blackburns Automotive.

Survivors include one son, Steven Cawley and wife, Jennifer of Watkinsville, GA; two daughters, Velvet Taylor of Lincolnton and Tiffany Hinton and husband, Jamie of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Cawley was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Parton and Brenda Cartledge; and one brother, Melvin Cawley.
