Obituary
LINCOLNTON, GA - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Spires "Sister" Fleming, 99 entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Pruitt Health Care in Washington, GA.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Double Branches Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Etheridge officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Neal Reed, Donald Reed, Tom Reed, Joey Williams, Brent Pullen and Raleigh Long, Jr.
Mrs. Fleming or "Sister" as she was so affectionally known was the daughter of the late William Henry Spires, Sr. and the late Zackie Wright Spires. She was a homemaker and a member of Double Branches Baptist Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Marianna Bailey and husband, Dale of Garland, Texas and Susan Laughmiller and husband Steve of Lincolnton; three nephews, Darrell Spires and wife, Maxine of Augusta, Donald Reed and wife, Susan of Martinez, GA., Neal Reed and wife, Paige of Lincolnton; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Sister was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clayton Fleming; two brothers, William Henry Spires, Jr. and Maurice Rhodes Spires; and a sister, Mamie Neil Spires Reed.
