WASHINGTON, GA – Mrs. Elizabeth Quarles Goolsby, 67, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Piedmont University Hospital in Augusta, GA.

The celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Rees Funeral Home with Rev. Paul C. Reviere officiating. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 on Thursday at Rees Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Newberry, Joey Fievet, Will McWhorter, Chris Quarles, Brady Quarles and Alex Harley.

Mrs. Goolsby was the daughter of the late Edward Mitchell Quarles and the late Elsie Irene Quarles of Lincolnton, GA. She was a retired textile employee with Concord Fabrics and a member of Jones Chapel.

Survivors include a son, Edward Leroy Harley and Amy of Lincolnton; one daughter, Lisa Smith and Spud of Washington; three brothers, Thomas Edward Quarles of Lincolnton, Mitch Quarles of Union Point and Bobby Lee Quarles of Lincolnton; one sister, Joyce Dadhirao and Gopal of New York City, NY; four grandchildren, Alex Harley, Will Harley, Daxton Smith and Wesley Murphy; two great grandchildren, Zander Harley and Matthew Murphy; step-mother, Dot Quarles of Augusta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Goolsby was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dempsey Goolsby; son, Leroy Harley, Jr.; nephew, Benjamin Smith.
