Esther was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church in Hephzibah, Georgia. Born on September 7, 1927, in Lincolnton, Georgia, Esther lived a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. She was a strong woman known as Mama, Granny or Miss Esther to those that loved her and she raised five wonderful children that adored her. No matter how hard life was she never lost her love for Jesus or her unique ability to find the laughter in everyday life. She was a master at funny faces, had many silly sayings, a few made up jokes and was always up for a game or puzzle with her children or grandchildren. She was at her happiest surrounded by people and she cherished all the birthday cards she received over the years from her many loved ones keeping them to look at again and again as she thought fondly of each person that she received them from. Whenever one of us would say goodbye after a visit she would always say in her typical silly fashion, "I'm glad you got to see me" and we are dear Granny, so glad that we got to see you.
Esther was preceded in joining the Lord by her first husband John Thomas Arnett and infant daughter, Virginia Arnett and her second husband Ray Kent Daniels.
She is survived by her children: Pat Pace (Edward), Hazel McCarthy (Butch), Tommy Arnett (Karen) Linda Anderson (Harvey) and Brenda Herndon (Earl), as well as eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pine Hill Baptist Church, 4233 Old Waynesboro Rd., Hephzibah, GA. 30815.
