LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Eugenia Wellmaker Martin, 82, of Hwy 220 West departed from her earthly home and entered into her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.
Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Wellmaker and the late Mattie Strother Wellmaker of Lincolnton. She had retired from the Lincoln County Board of Education after 30 years of service as a school bus driver and she was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin was an excellent gardener and she also loved to cook and to sew.
Survivors include one son, Larry O. Martin, Jr. and wife, Dianne of Augusta, GA.; two daughters, Pam M. Savici and husband, Mike and Lynn M. Allison and husband, Greg both of Lincolnton; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Martin was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Larry O'Neil Martin Sr. and a son, Ronnie E. Martin.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Fernandez, Rev. Ficklen Guinn and Rev. Larry O. Martin, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Loco Baptist Church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Allison, Michael Savici, Jadrien Carnes, Barry Paschal, David Paschal and Paul Helms.
