WASHINGTON, GA. - Mr. Evans Moral Coursey, 80, entered into rest on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Palmer Family Cemetery with Rev. Paul C. Reviere officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Coursey, Eugene Coursey, James Collins, Allen Moragne, James Moragne and Bryant Peacock. Mr. Coursey was the son of the late Hebert L. Coursey and the late Lila Mae Turner Coursey of Aiken County, S.C. He had served his country in the National Guard and retired as a textile worker. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth C. Moragne of Washington, GA.; three sons, Evans M. Coursey, Jr. of Clayton, DE., Donald Lamar Coursey and Eugene T. Coursey, both of Washington; one brother, James C. Coursey of El Paso, TX.; isx grandchildren, Donna M. Coursey, Cynthia J. Evans, Camellia Ann Moragne, James Allen Moragne, Lila Marie Peacock and Kevin Coursey; and five great grandchildren. Mr. Coursey was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Marie Moon Coursey. At Mr. Coursey prior request that upon his death that his body be carried back to the home place at 3034 Hwy 220 East, Lincolnton, GA. and will lie in state there until the day of the service.
