JASPER, GA - Mrs. Florence Daniel Rosser, 89, met her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 19, 2019 at her residence on Price Creek Farm Lane.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Augusta, GA with Rev. Dan Rosser and Rev. Todd Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be deacons of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Mrs. Rosser was the daughter of the late Morgan "Mutt" Ellington Daniel and the late Mozelle Dagenhardt Daniel of Gastonia, NC. She was born in Gastonia, NC but moved to LaGrange, GA as a young girl.  She graduated from LaGrange High School but did not meet her husband there because he graduated four years earlier from the same high school.  She was introduced to her husband, Jack, by her sister, Barbara Daniel, and his sister, Mary Ann Rosser, who were best friends and played matchmaker.  They married in 1949 and were married for almost 57 years before Jack passed away in 2006.  They moved to Augusta in the 1950's living on Bandler Rd and then moved to Mt. Vernon Dr. in 1966.  Florence worked at Southern Bell as a switchboard operator, Hillcrest Baptist Church as an administrative assistant, The Medical College of Georgia as an administrative assistant, then went back to Hillcrest Baptist Church in the mid 1970's.  Florence was a faithful wife and loving mother who always put her family first.  When Jack was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, she faithfully cared for him even after he had to be placed at the Georgia War Veteran's nursing home.  She was always actively involved at Hillcrest Baptist Church through the years including the Women's Missionary Union, as a Sunday School teacher, a choir member, and various committees through the years.  She was sincere in her faith, studying God's Word daily as long as she could still read and always spent a great deal of time preparing to teach her Sunday School class until she had to give it up.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Rosser and wife, Kandie of Alpharetta, GA and Dan Rosser and wife, Janice of Elijay, GA; two grandchildren, Hailey Rosser and Brooks Rosser.

Mrs. Rosser along with her parents and husband, Jack Denny Rosser was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Daniel.
