LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. George D. Maloof, 74 entered into rest with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at University Hospital Cardiovascular Institute. The graveside service with memorial honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2011 at Hephzibah Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Allen Danner officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Clarence Norman, Jr., Jimmy Bryant, Dan Young, Shane Bryant, Lanny Bryant and Greg Norman. Mr. Maloof was the son of the late Ameen Lane Maloof and the late Mary Saggus Maloof. He retired as an electrician and a logger and was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. Mr. Maloof was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church, Maloof Hunting Club and American Legion Post #194. Survivors include his wife, Shelby Jene Maloof; one son, Gregg Maloof and wife, Shawny of Lincolnton; one daughter, Kimberly Maloof Whitfield and husband, Scott of Shelby, N.C.; three grandchildren, Camas Whitfield, Galen Whitfield and Bridgette Smith; two great grandchildren, Tristen Smith and Alexis Smith; one sister, Mary Lane Williams and husband, Wyndell of Pensacola, FL.
