LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Gerald Edmunds "Bubba" Goldman, Jr., 38, entered into eternal rest after a tragic car accident on Friday, February 24, 2023 in Wilkes County.
Mr. Goldman or Bubba as everyone knew him was a member of Pierce's Chapel and was quite a handyman and construction worker. If anything needed repairing or replacing at the church or at home, Bubba was the one that was called. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing with his dad and was a craftsman at woodworking. Bubba played football for the Red Devils while in high school and was later an active supporter of both the Red Devils and the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
Survivors include his loving companion, Shannon Zumwalt; father, Gerald E. Goldman, Sr. and mother, Carol Johnson Goldman; one sister, Erin Goldman Bailey "Sis"; one niece, Lucy Grace Bailey; aunts and uncles, John and Julie Goldman, Helen and Wade Bridges, Cynthia Goldman, Emily May, James "Jimmy" and Esther Johnson, Keith Johnson, David and Patricia Johnson and numerous other family members.
The celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from the graveside at Pierce's Chapel with Pastor Jerry O'Neal officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Tre Epps, Jason Turner, Carl Brown, Cody Johnson, William Johnson, Kenneth Price, Mark Saggus and Jason Martin. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy "Jimbo" May. Bubba was a simple man and at the family's request that dress will be casual with jeans and a button down shirt for the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Rees Funeral Home.
