Ms. Grace Moon Monroe, 65, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her residence in Covington, GA.

Mrs. Monroe was born April 6, 1959 and the daughter of the late Bobby Eugene Moon and the late Katherine Mobley Moon. Grace was a simple person and she enjoyed the simple things of life. She had a great sense of humor, who loved to laugh and to make others laugh.  Grace loved her family and spoiling her five grandchildren.

Grace was survived by a son, Donald Monroe, Jr. and wife, Tiffany of Covington, GA; a daughter, Amanda Monroe and fiancee', Marcus McGinnis of Sebring, FL.; five grandchildren, Jaden and Joseph Monroe, Bridgette Jovin, Kamrinne Jovin and Jedidiah McGinnis; three brothers, Earnest Moon and wife, Sonya, Sam Eugene Moon and Billie Jean Borchert, and Robert Eugene Moon and Rebecca Gibbs all of Lincolnton; adopted daughter, Jessica Elzayani. Mrs. Monroe along with her parents was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Monroe, Sr, and a brother, David Moon.

The visitation for the family to receive friends will be from 10 until 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2025 followed by the service from the graveside at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, with Rev. Addison Belangia officiating at Palmer Family Cemetery in Tignall, GA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Monroe, Jr., Jaden Monroe, Joey Moon, Justin Moon, Quentin Shelton and Marcus McGinnis. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Earnest Moon, Sam Eugene Moon and Robert Moon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 3449 Pine Grove Church Rd., Lincolnton, GA. 30817.
