Obituary

AUGUSTA, GA. - Mrs. Grace Proctor Veal peacefully entered into rest at her home in Augusta, Georgia on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Grace was born August 17, 1925 in Cairo, Georgia, the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin Proctor and Annie Grace Meadows Proctor. She graduated from Cairo High School and attended Georgia State College for Women. She was the wife of the late James E. Veal, and lived most of her life in Augusta, retiring as Floor Manager at the Veteran's Administration Hospital. Grace was a charter member of "The Steel Magnolias". She was an active member of the Hill Baptist Church and Ruth Bible Class. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Veal Biggerstaff and her husband Dwaine of Lincolnton, Georgia; two granddaughters, Natalie Biggerstaff and Christen Trogolo and her husband, Frank and four great grandchildren. A Christian celebration of her life will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hill Baptist Church, 2165 Kings Way, Augusta, Georgia. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the church.
