LINCOLNTON , GA - Mr. Grady L. Reed, 76 of 1982 Reed Rd. entered into rest on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Lanis Lewis and Rev. Terry Bonds officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove United Methodist Church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Johnson, Thad Johnson, Billy Reed, Steve Reed, Greg Phillips, Cory Cliatt, Bobby Gene Phillips, Austin Reed and Dalton Reed. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Mr. Reed was the son of the late Henry Reed and the late Elsie Spires Reed of Lincolnton. He along with his wife, Dovie was owner of the Home Cafe of Lincolnton, Dovie's Sweet Shop and a member of the First Assembly of God. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Dovie Phillips Reed; one daughter, Teresa Reed Hartman and husband, Robert of Roswell, GA; one son, John Phillips Reed and wife, Kristi of Parksville, SC; three grandchildren, Taylor Anne Hartman, Justin Reed and Jarrett Reed; two brothers, Herbert Reed and wife, Rosie Mae of Lincolnton and Johnnie Reed and wife, Frances of Washington, GA; three sisters, Katherine Reed of Jacksonville, FL, Carolyn Fletcher and husband, George of Lincolnton and Shirley Hancock and husband, Knute of New Jersey.
