WASHINGTON, GA. - Mr. Hal Weldon Clubb, 85, entered through the Gates of Heaven on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the Georgia War Veteran's Nursing Home in Augusta, GA. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. T.G. Hall officiating. Interment with masonic rites and full military honors will be in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County with Rev. Jimmy Chapman officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Lindsey, Lewis Cook, Bill Smith, Talmadge Reed, Olin Reed, and Ralph Bray. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge #23. Mr. Clubb was retired from the United States Air Force and served his country honorably during World War II, Battle of the Bulge and the Korean War. After his retirement from the Air Force he was employed as a park ranger at Elijah Clark State Park and for many years mentored many young men and women with summer jobs. Mr. Clubb was an avid fisherman, loved to sing and was known for his beautiful voice. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #23 where he served as Past Master and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Rosemarie Clubb Johnson of Evans, GA.; son, Toby Clubb and wife, Karen of Macon, GA.; grandsons, Adam Godfrey and wife, Amanda of Augusta, GA., Jarrett Clubb and wife, Haley of Macon, GA. and Payne Clubb of Macon; great grandchildren, Price, Mackenzie, Tad and Tate. Mr. Clubb was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Rosemary Clary Clubb and a son, James Jarrett "Jim" Clubb.
