LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Herman Jones, 86, of White Rock Rd. entered into rest on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at his residence.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Salem Baptist Church with Brother Bob Rayner officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Bailey, Richard Goolsby, Wilkes Goolsby, Brian Ireland, Flint Matthews and Todd Turner.

Mr. Jones was the son of the late Hiram Jones and the late Mattie Lee Adams Jones of LaGrange, GA. He was employed at Atlantic Envelope Company  for 37 years and was promoted to operations manager before his retirement. Mr. Jones was a veteran and he served his country with honor in the United States Army and he was a member of Salem Baptist Church. His family said that he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, JoAnn Holsomback Jones; one son, Herman Michael "Mike" Jones and wife Sandi of Metairie, LA.; one daughter, Janie Jones Wolfe and husband, Bill of Athens, GA.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Wilma Jones Wooten of LaGrange, GA.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Salem Baptist Church.
