LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Hugh Warren Dyches, 89, of Grove Street entered into rest on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Ga. There will be a graveside service at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, Ga. for the immediate family. Mr. Dyches was born in Richmond County, Georgia on January 23,1921 to the late James B. Dyches and to the late Cecelia Brown Dyches. He was a private in the United States Air Corps Reserve and was honorably discharged in December 1945. He went on to work at Fort Gordon in the Civil Service Communications Special Operations for over 50 years. Mr. Dyches was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. He leaves behind a daughter, Lynne Dyches of Lincolnton and a son, Michael W. Dyches of Washington, Ga.; also three grandchildren, Dr. Cynthia L. Ware of Rome, Ga., Christopher W. Dyches and Marshall W. Dyches, both of Washington. Mr. Dyches was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mattie Jo Willis Dyches.
