LINCOLNTON, GA " Mr. Jack Alton McCrary, 77, of 1494 Cartledge Rd. entered into rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at his residence. A celebration of the life of Jack McCrary will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Lincolnton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Hinson, Rev. Richard Broom, Rev. John Pike, Rev. Russell Davis, and Rev. Franklin Jones officiating. Mr. McCrary was the son of the late Douglas Herbert McCrary and the late Palma Watford McCrary of Campbellton, FL. He was a retired general manager with an auto dealership in Melbourne , FL and relocated to the Augusta area in 1990. After retirement Mr. McCrary relocated to Lincoln County in 1994. He was a member of the Lincolnton United Methodist Church and was employed with Spratlin Hardware where he always greeted everyone with a handshake and a friendly smile. Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee McCrary; one son, Wes Williams of St. Cloud, FL; three daughters, Beth McCrary, Paige Glisson and Janet Whilten all of Pinellas Park, Fl.; one sister, Ellen McCarty of Auburndale, Fl.; step-daughter, Elizabeth Flynn of Ormond Beach , Fl.; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. McCrary was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert McCrary and Billy McCrary; a sister, Joanne Jody George.
