Obituary

LINCOLNTON, GA - Jack Edwin Weston, Master Sergeant, U.S. Army, Retired, 79, of Double Branches Rd., who fought a valiant battle and succumbed to cancer entered into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

The graveside service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Lincolnton City Cemetery.

MSG (R) Weston was the son of the late Morris Edwin Weston and the late Dorothy Snowden Weston of Corpus Christi, Texas. MSG (R) Weston had retired after two tours in Vietnam and serving his country with honor after twenty-two years of service. After retirement from service he was employed and in charge of security for Bankers First in Augusta. MSG (R) Weston was a member of the American Legion Post #194 and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Janey Brunk-Weston; one son, Michael Weston of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Joy Weston and Jessica Weston both of Lincolnton; one brother, James Eric Hamick of Houston; and one sister, Diane M. Hutchinson of San Antonio, Texas. Along with his parents MSG (R) Weston was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sally Marie Seamen Weston; a son, James Edwin Weston; and two brothers, Michael Hamick and Ivan Weston.
