L INCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Jackie Poss Willingham, 83, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, April 28, 2017.
A celebration of life memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Lewis Family Pavilion in the Historical Park.

Mrs. Willingham was the daughter of the late Lester Gilbert Poss and Alice Bunch Poss.  Jackie was the devoted wife of her high school sweetheart, the late Bernard Alexander "Alex" Willingham Jr. for almost 60 years. Jackie or "Nanny" as her family lovingly called her will leave behind a tremendous legacy of selfless sacrificial love that she modeled daily. She will be remembered for her many passions including sewing, crocheting, animals, sense of humor, her Red Devils but most importantly her family and friends.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You!" to the wonderful staff at Harrington Park for loving and tenderly caring for Nanny.  You became like a second family to her and her home away from home. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the "Angels" of the 10 th floor staff at University Hospital for loving and caring for her all the way to heaven.

She is survived by her three children: Marsha Willingham Scott, James Alexander "Jimmy" Willingham and Tara Willingham Hester and husband, Frank; six grandchildren, Laney Scott Phillips and husband, Lewis, Patrick Willingham and wife, Angela, Savannah Willingham, Chandler Willingham, Cole Logue and wife, Stevi and Janie Frances Logue; four great grandchildren; and Randy Cullars, a longtime co-worker that she loved like a son and numerous other relatives.
