LINCOLNTON, GA - Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Arthur, 63, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Piedmont Augusta.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Rees Funeral Home with Father Stephen Lyness officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at Rees Funeral Home on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Scott Arthur, John Harper, Dylan Arthur, David Turner, Cornell Palmer and Eugene Moon.

Mr. Arthur was born March 25, 1959 and the son of the late William Edward and Sarah Scott Arthur. He had retired after many years in the construction and assembling of massive towers with his father and brother, Eddie Arthur. After retirement Jimmy started a new career in trucking,  traveling the roads and seeing the country along with his wife, Hilda. He later went into farming, raising chickens, cattle, buffalo and ostriches.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Arthur; two daughters, Tonya A. Harper and husband, John and Sam Arthur Turner and husband David, of Avery, GA; one brother, Eddie Arthur and wife, Patty of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Scott Arthur and wife, Holly, Niki Poss, LeighAnna Poss, William Harper, Sawyer Turner and Everett Turner. two great grandchildren, Ali Arthur and Alex Poss.
