TIGNALL, GA. - Mr. James Fayne Edwards 83, retired pastor entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Country Manor Personal Care Home in Tignall, GA.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Reviere officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the hour of service in the church.

Mr. Edwards retired from Dupont in 1976. He retired as pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Tignall, GA where he served for 15 years. He served many churches in Lincoln, Columbia and Richmond counties over his lifetime. Whether he led music, served as pastor or interim pastor, he was always willing to help a church. He loved to fish and was glad to tell a fish story anytime.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra M. Bell; one daughter, Cynthia E. Blanchard and husband, Al of North Augusta, SC; four sons, Howard F. Edwards and wife, Diane of Crawfordville, GA, James D. Edwards and wife, Donna of Lincolnton, GA, Stephen B. Edwards and wife, Susan of West Jefferson, NC and Timothy A. Edwards and wife, Cindy of Goldsboro, NC; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his father, William Earl Edwards; mother, Lila Russell Edwards; sister, Linda Edwards Henley and by his wife of 53 years, Montine Nobles Edwards.
