LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. James Robert Kennedy, 90, of Lincoln Ave. entered into rest on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his residence. The graveside service with military honors will be at 3 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Addison Belangia officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Kennedy, B.C. Kennedy, Buddy Dallas, Robert F. "Chigger" Wilkes and Gene Edwards. Mr. Kennedy was the son of the late Thomas Henry Kennedy and the late O' Dessie Ross Kennedy. He was retired as a plumber for the Richmond County Board of Education, a veteran of the United States Army serving his country honorably during World War II and was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Annette Kennedy of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Jerry Lancaster II of Kings, N.C. and Jerri Ann Lancaster Johnson of Hawkinsville, GA.; three great grandchildren, Trey Lancaster, Jessica Lancaster and Dillon Skelton.
