LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. James Thomas Quarles, Sr., 57, entered into rest on Friday, January 27, 2017 at his residence on Jones Chapel Road.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Lanis Lewis and Rev. Terry Bonds officiating. Interment will be in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Earl McKellar, Chad Freeman, Champ Shockley, Harold Shockley, Todd Wells, Al Young, John Young and Daniel McKellar.
Mr. Quarles was a equipment operator with Quarles Logging.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Hinton and husband, Brett of Lincolnton; one son, James R. Quarles and wife, Katherine of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Bryson, Gage, Lacy Mae and J.R.; mother, Cecil C. Quarles of Lincolnton; one sister, Glenda Brady and husband, Lindsey of Spartanburg, S.C. and numerous other family members.
Mr. Quarles was also preceded in death by his father, James Edward Quarles.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, 195 Peachtree St., Lincolnton, GA. 706-359-3222.
