LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Janie Goldman Teasley, 94, of 2482 McCormick Hwy. entered into rest on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Mrs. Teasley was retired from Oxford Manufacturing as a seamstress and was a homemaker. She was the oldest living member of Bethany United Methoodist Church and was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Women. Survivors include two sons, Jack E. Teasley and wife, Betty of Andersonville, Ga. and Roger L. Teasley and wife, Carol of Garner, N.C.; three daughters, Joanne T. Martin and husband, Jack of Hartwell, Ga., Sarah T. Close and husband, Bob of Carlsbad, Ca. and Ellen T. Schumpert and husband, Roy of McCormick, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Clara Teasley of Lincolnton; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Teasley was preceded in death by her husband, Hoke Smith Teasley and a son, Tommie S.Teasley. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Ivey and Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
