LINCOLNTON, GA - Ms. Joan Leitch (Kussmaul) Demmers, 91, of Cherokee Ct. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington.
Ms. Demmers was the daughter of the late James Leitch and the late Florence Adele McCarthy of Babylon Village, NY. She served in the medical field as a nurse's aide at South Shore Agency in Oakdale, NY.    Survivors include four children, Susan Kussmaul Esposito, Karl Kussmaul, Brian D. Demmers and Chris W. Demmers; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Rowlinson of E. Islip, Long Island, NY and Patricia Thomson of Islip Terrace, Long Island, NY; and many nieces and nephews. Ms. Demmers was also preceded in death by her first husband, Karl H. Kussmaul in 1968.
