LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. John Bussey Smith, Jr. of 409 N. Peachtree St. entered into rest on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his residence. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Fiday, May 2, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home with Rev. Paul C. Reviere officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Gravitt, Evan Gravitt, Andrew Bailey, John Warren, Lawrence "Bone" Teate, Chris Boyd, Josh Cooper and Jack Smalley. Mr. Smith was retired as a truck driver with Simpson Trucking and Grading. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Frances Wilkie Smith of Oakwood, GA.; two sisters, Linda S. Bailey and husband, Richard of Waynesboro, GA. and Anne S. Saul of Augusta, GA.; one brother, Edward C. Smith of Loganville, GA.; one niece, Kelly Anne Rosales of Scottsdale, AZ.; two nephews, John Warren of Augusta and Andrew Bailey of Oakwood; great nephew, Landen Warren of Augusta; two aunts, Mary "Blukey" McIntosh of Lincolnton and Patsy Smith of Augusta; as well as, many cousins and extended family.
