LINCOLNTON , GA. - Mr. John A. "Bo" Waters, 78, of Hidden Harbor Rd. entered into rest on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Melissa Weathers officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in the church cemtery. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post #194. Mr. Waters was the son of the late Marvin Waters and the late Fannie Culver Waters of Millen, Georgia. He was retired from the Savannah River Site and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country with honor for four years during the Korean War. Mr. Waters was a member of the American Legion Post #194, Lions Club and Brunswick Bowling League. He also enjoyed playing golf and softball. Survivors include one daughter, Joy Evans of Pickens, S.C.; three sons, Jim Evans of Hephzibah, GA., John Rodney Waters of Cartersville, GA. and Greg James of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Tarra Stoddard and Cassie Cochran; sister-in-law, Rita Waters of Millen, GA. Mr. Waters was preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Hair Waters, his great granddaughter, Miranda Bowman and a brother, James Waters.
