Mr. Carroll was the son of the late Davener Deryl Carroll and the late Susie Blanche Carroll of Grayson, GA. Mr. Carroll aka "The Honey Man" worked the land as a farmer and watched over numerous honey bee hives, and had some of the best honey this side of the Appalachain Mountains. Mr. Carroll was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he served as deacon emeritus.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Billie G. Carroll; children, John C. "Chuck" Carroll and wife, Judy of Thomson, GA., Lorre Carroll of Tignall, GA.,  Paul H. Carroll and wife, Casey of Lawrenceville, GA. and Thomas Still of Loganville, GA.; grandchildren, Keith Bentley and wife, Alex of Lawrenceville, GA., Conner, Clay and Cannon Carroll of Lawrenceville, GA., Kelli Brecunier and husband, Justin of Niceville, Fl., Britney Johnson and husband, Sam of Warrenton, GA., Marcianne Alligood and husband, Ben of Lincolnton, and Russell Aycock and wife, Caiti of Lincolnton; one sister, Frances Thomas of Loganville, GA.; one     brother, Rev. William F. "Bill" Carroll and wife, Sue of Snellville, GA.; great grandchildren, Aaron, Mary Kathryn and Alex Johnson of Warrenton, GA.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Thigpen, Rev. William F. "Bill" Carroll and Rev. Virginia Best officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be LeRoy Bufford, Gene Thurmond, Franklin Still, John Still, Cody Kelton and J.W. Perry.
