LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Judith C. Wells, 72, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at University Hospital.
Mrs. Wells was the daughter of the late Tinnie Walden Crow and the late Mary Patrick Crow. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother aka "Mama Joe". Mrs. Wells was the former owner of Cliatt's Country Sausage and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was an avid LCHS Red Devil football fan, as well as a Greenbrier and UGA baseball fan.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joe Racy Wells; one son, Walden Racy Wells of Greensboro, GA.; one daughter, Rachel Adelyne Wells Sasser and husband, Jon of Evans,
GA.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Adam Sasser, Aubrey Judith Sasser and Sydney Holland Sasser; two sisters, Rosemary Crow Hunter and husband, Billy of Lilburn, GA. and Priscilla Crow Goodwin and husband Lewis of Fayetteville, N.C.; sister-in-law, Donna Wells Mixon of Lincolnton, GA.; brother-in-law, Edmunds Wells and wife, Fran of Athens, GA.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Benny Pate and Rev. Larry Beggs officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be nephews Patrick Hunter, Marshall Hunter, Glynn Jackson, Clay Bolton and Mark Goodwin. Also serving as pallbearers will be Randy Wurst, Charlie Wurst and John Norman. Serving as honorary pallberarers will be Jack Smalley, Larry Campbell, Gerald Lawson, John Ludwig, John Callaway, John Roy Clifton, Ronnie Able and Bill Casey.
