LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Kathleen McGill Beggs, 91 of Double Branches Rd. entered into rest on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Double Branches Baptist Church with Rev. Deryl Odom and Rev. Keith Etheridge officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Hawes Reed, Chuck Beggs, Trevor Cole, Arnold Hardee, Buddy Beggs, Cecil Beggs, Jr., Reid Merritt, Brandon Reed, Tyler Cole and Cody Beggs. Mrs. Beggs was the daughter of the late A.C. McGill and the late Lillian Norman McGill. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Double Branches Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Charles McGill Beggs, Sr. and wife, Deborah of Lincolnton and Kirby Beggs, Sr. and wife, Lori of Crawfordville, GA.; one daughter, Sandra Beggs Cole of Lincolnton; one sister, Inez McGill McWhorter of Lincolnton; one sister-in-law, Betty McGill of Snellville, GA.; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Beggs was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Martin Beggs; son, Henry Cecil Beggs, Sr.; son-in-law, Curt Cole; granddaughter, Krissy Beggs Kitchens and great grandson, Charles McGill Beggs, III.
