Martinez, GA – Mr. Lanier Ross Poss, 55, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 22, 2023 at his residence on Pecan Street.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Lincolnton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Rees Funeral Home.

Lanier was born April 11, 1968 in Hartwell, GA. He lived in Lincolnton early in life and attended First Assembly of God until relocating to the Augusta area.

Lanier is survived by his mother, Emily Reese Leckie; three sisters, Robin Poss Snider, Reesie Poss (Johnny) and Kim Poss Wilson (Vernon); one brother, Al Poss (Wendy); and numerous other family members. Lanier was preceded in death by his father, John Allen Poss, Sr.; sister, Lou Ann Poss; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Ross Reese; and paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Barney Poss.
