LINCOLNTON, GA. - Rev. Larry O'Neil Martin, Sr. 80, of Hwy 220 West entered into rest on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Ficklen Guin and Rev. Dan Fernandez officiating. Interment will be in Loco Baptist Church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Allison, Michael Savici, Willie Jones, John Tutt, Jadrien Carnes and Barry Paschal. Rev. Martin was the son of the late Robert Mitchell Martin and the late Sarah Lee Holder Martin. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, retired as a heavy equipment operator for Lincoln County and later served as a Bailiff for the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department. He was a minister of the gospel for 42 years serving as pastor at Clifford's Grove, Sandy Cross, Salem, Rehoboth and Beulah. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Eugenia W. Martin; one son, Larry O. Martin, Jr. and wife, Diane of Raymondville, TX.; two daughters, Pam M. Savici and husband, Mike of Lincolnton and Lynn M. Allison and husband, Greg, of Lincolnton; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Wilson of Honea Path, S.C. Rev. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie E.
