LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Leila Wright Kelley, 88, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at The Cooper House.

The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Rev. Tripp Goodwin, Dr. Tony Hopkins and Dr. G. Al Wright officiating. Interment will be at Goshen Baptist Church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Richard, George Richard, Greg Richard, Hillyer Wright, Jr., Mark Augustynowicz and Todd Turner. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Wilmer Byrd, Murray T. Norman, great nephews and ladies from The Cooper House.

Mrs. Kelley retired from Oxford Manufacturing in 1991 as an engineer after 28 years employment. She was a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church, T.E.L. Sunday School Class and Merry Makers. Mrs. Kelley was also a member of American Legion Auxillary 194 and the Lincoln County Historical Society.

Survivors include a sister, Miriam W. Richard of Evans, GA.; seven nephews, Marty Richard, George Richard, Greg Richard and wife, Ellen, Dr. G. Al Wright and wife, Ann, Harry M.Wright and wife, Lynn, Hillyer Wright, Jr. and wife,Carol, Bill Christian and wife, Tonda; three nieces, Susan Christian, Carol C. Hopkins and husband, Dr. Tony Hopkins, Carla C. Wingate and husband, Jim; special friend, Pam Howard;

Mrs. Leila was one that loved everyone, especially children. She has one great niece, Emily Wingate that called her Grandmama Leila and had a special little boy that she thought the world of Cole Weston Myers.

Mrs. Kelley was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harold Kelley; brothers, George A. Wright, Sr. and wife, Evelyn and Thomas Hillyer Wright and wife, Maudelle; sister, Emily W. Christian and husband, George; nieces, Alta W. Davidson and Sandi Richard; great nephew, Dee Richard.
