LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Liba Dawkins Cunningham, 76, of Cherokee Dr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the residence
with her family by her bedside

The funeral service to celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Cunningham will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Goshen Baptist Church with Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Rowland, Todd Willgus, Murray Remsen, Ben Dawkins, Tommy Rankin, Phillip Broadwater, Joe Willis and Patrick Ward.
Mrs. Cunningham was the daughter of the late Ozzie Adell Dawkins and the late Lalla Irvin Norman Dawkins. She retired as secretary and bookkeeper from several businesses and the county government. Mrs. Liba enjoyed the outdoors and had many hobbies which included camping, traveling and snow skiing. She was an active member of Goshen Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart, Tommy Cunningham, Jr. with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage; two sons, Michael Cunningham and fiancee' Robin Hightower and Keith Cunningham and wife, Benton both of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Jared, LizBeth, Harper, Maggie and Anna Kate; two sisters, Helen Grindstaff of Martinez, GA. and Jeanette Hemphill of Stephens, GA.; two brothers, Lewis Dawkins of Belvedere, S.C. and Sammy Dawkins and wife, Vicki of Lincolnton; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Ervin "Sting" Dawkins and William Dawkins.
