LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Lydia Aycock Jones, 75, of 2713 White Rock Rd. entered into rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Deryl Odom, Rev. James L. Martin and Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be George Turner, Herb Kimberly, Dewayne Evans, Wayne Bentley, Scott Stamper, Flint Matthews, Jimmy Moore, Keith Jones, Wayne Henderson and Jason Smith. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Boyd M. Aycock, Sr. and the late Lucy Martin Aycock. She was retired as a cosmetologist, did secretarial work for the Lincoln County School System and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Barry Chastain and wife, Cathy of Lincolnton; one daughter, Leigh Chastain and friend, Michelle Winton of Tulsa OK; three grandchildren, Chris Chastain and wife, Shannon of Grovetown, GA., Lacey Henderson and husband, Wayne of Lincolnton and Donna Jones and husband, Keith of Martinez, GA.; three great grandchildren, Kenlie Henderson, Skyler Henderson and Caitlin Henderson; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Jones and her first husband, William E. "Yogi" Chastain.
