Obituary
McCormick, S.C. - Mrs. Margie Reese Bussey, 97, of McCormick, SC, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Self Regional Healthcare, Greenwood, SC.
A native of Modoc, S.C., she was a daughter of the late James Morgan and Rosalind Sims Cartledge Reese.
She was a homemaker and loved gardening, painting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a long time member of McCormick First Baptist Church in McCormick, SC.
Mrs. Bussey was predeceased by her husband Ray Mack Bussey and brothers James William Reese, John Morgan Reese, Jesse Lamar Reese, Charles Walton Reese and sisters Lillian Reese Bussey and Rose Reese Talbert.
She is survived by a daughter Susan Bussey McKinney and son- in- law William C. McKinney of Plum Branch, SC; granddaughter Ashley McKinney Harper and husband David of Lincolnton, Ga.; grandson Jason William McKinney of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandsons Noah David and Reese Alexander Harper of Lincolnton, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Polly Reese of McCormick, SC and Betty Reese of Washington, Ga.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Modoc Baptist Church Cemetery in Modoc, SC with Rev. Michael Allen and Rev. Doug Kauffmann officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family would like to express special appreciation to the staff of Forest View Manor for their outstanding care during her stay there.
